Dr. Muhammad Tahir

Dr. Muhammad Tahir was born in Pakistan. He attended the Kohat University of Science and Technology, Pakistan for his Master Degree in Physics and won a Gold-Medal award in 2007. In 2007, he moved to Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology for his M.Phil program in applied physics. In the same institutiion, he continued his PhD degree program and completed in 2014. During his PhD research work, in 2011, Dr. Tahir went to Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge, UK to undertake his experimental work in the area of optoelectronics and photonics under the supervision of Prof. Sir Richard Friend and Dr. Jenny Clarrk. He began his professional career in 2012 as a lecturer in Physics a the Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. In 2014, he became an Assistant Professor of Physics at the same university. Dr. Muhammad Tahir is the group leader of semiconductor physics lab a the department of physics, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. His research interests are amplified spontaneous emission in oligomer crystals, organic semiconductor based sensors, thermoelectric devices, electronic and optoelectronic devices.
