Department of Physics, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, joined Advanced Mo-based Rare Process Collaboration Experiment (AMoRE). This international collaboration comprises of 7 countries that are: South Korea, Russia, China, Germany, Thailand, Ukraine and Pakistan.

Under this international collaboration, 3 students of the Department of Physics, AWKUM, namely: Mr. Arshad Khan, Mr. Sartaj Wali and Nasir Khan will undertake research in the Institute of Basic Science (I.B.S), South Korea, that is reputed throughout world.

Abdul Wali Khan University has already signed MOUs with these countries. This programme consists of 16 best institutes and more than 100 researchers. This programme will allow the students to groom in the latest and developed research labs and hence play a vibrant role in the social, industrial and economic growth of the country. Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan is the 1st university of Pakistan that is part of this international collaboration.

Prior to the their departure, the students met with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali, Chairman Department of Physics, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad and Dr. Gul Rooh.
