AWKUM PC-I Amounting to 681.587 Millon Approved by Planning Commission of Pakistan
The Planning Commission of the Government of Pakistan in its meeting of the CDWP, held on 18th of June 2012 at Islamabad chaired by Dr. Nadeem- Ul-Haq Deputy Chairman Planning Commission has approved the PC-I of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Entitled “Establishment of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan” at the cost of 681.587 million.It was a great achievement for the administration of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan that it has been successful in getting approved thisproject funded by Federal Government of Pakistan. Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali, Vice-Chancellor, AWKUM and Member Operation and Planning of HEC Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Nasser Ali Khandefended the project successfully in the meeting. Needless to say, it was the maiden project being approved by the Federal Government for AWKUM. The project consists construction of Academic Block, a student Hostel for atleast four hundred (400) students and an examination Block along with construction of the plastered road inside the campus. Apart from this it includes allocation of amount for scientific equipments for Labs, Net-Working, Chemicals, Books, Furniture and Transport. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali thanked the Federal Government and said that approval of the project will help to a greater extent in the establish=ment and progress of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.
