About Department |
I feel honoured to write a few words about the Department of English. The Department of English is among the pioneer departments of this University. Currently, the Department offers admission at Master (MA) and undergraduate (BS) levels. The Department plans to start M.Phil/PhD programmes in near future.
The Department has got young but highly qualified faculty, equipped with the latest pedagogical skills. It provides an ideal and conducive environment for academic pursuits. Along with academic activities the Department also focuses on the co-curricular dimensions of the students. For this purpose a Literary Club has been established which regularly arranges Debates, Essay-writing, Arts exhibition and other related literary competitions.
It is hoped that the Department of English, in the coming few years, will achieve a formidable position across the province.
