Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan has established a large number of Campuses across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Bacha Khan Campus at Chitral is the 9th Campus of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. The Chief Minister inaugurated the Campus on 12th December 2011.  Professor Anwar Khan took over the charge of the Campus as its 1st Coordinator on 15th October, 2011. The Campus is located at a beautiful place near the Agriculture Research Station, Seen Lakht, Chitral. It consists of 18 classrooms, a Girls hostel, Staff Hostel and Guest house. At present Bacha Campus Chitral offers Master degree programmes in three subjects, i.e., Economics, Political Science and Management Science. Four more subjects are planned to be offered in the coming session.

The credit of its establishment goes to Professor Dr. Ihsan Ali Vice-Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. His dream of spreading education (Education at door step) is eminent from his hard work and devotion. Bacha Khan Campus has provided an opportunity to the people of Chitral. They could enhance their knowledge and skills through higher Education.
