The Honorable Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa very kindly announced establishment of a Campus of AWKUM at Buner, on 4th May 2011. The University Authorities took the task to follow the directives of the Honorable Chief Minister. To implement the directive, the Authorities started the proposed subjects in the post Graduate block of Government Degree College Daggar. In this regard 1st meeting was held at Government Degree College Daggar. The participants agreed to start the following subjects, Zoology, Computer Science and Management Sciences at the campus. The University authorities appointed two officers a coordinator and an administrative officer in the first phase to look after the administrative and financial affairs of the campus. Hence classes were stared in the three disciplines (Zoology, BBA, and MCS) on 19th Oct 2011.After fulfilling all the admission formalities.
The honorable chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa inaugurated the Campus on the 10th December 2011.The University authorities felt that existing building of the campus would be insufficient for future, that’s why a demand of 70 canals of land a request was moved by the Vice Chancellor of the University to the authorities. The worthy Vice Chancellor pursued the case and the honorable Chief Minister very kindly agreed to approve the demand and was pleased to order the transfar the land in the name of Buner Campus AWKUM in the name of Buner Campus. Besides the handing and taking over process of the buildings of Commerce College and Post Graduate Block of Government Postgratuate college daggar was completed in all respects.
